Bio(This is an IC journal of a fictional character on X-Men MUCK)
HISTORY:
Born in 1991 in the city of Norwich, England, Christian grew up in a rural, farm area...the oldest of two kids by a year (his younger brother is named Bruce, and the two of them get along like, well, brothers). His parents made their living growing various crops to sell at the market, and despite them being relatively poor, they made enough for them to be happy. He had always figured on going into the family business when he was old enough; he was a simple child who enjoyed simple things, and didn't ask for anything more than what was needed to survive. He had a good sense of family values; his parents were good, hardworking people.
Life was pretty good and Chris was happy with how normal things were...that is, until around his 14th birthday.
He and his brother had been playing out near the barn where their father had kept various farming machinery...your usual tractor, and things of that nature. Chris had left Bruce there for a minute as he ran outside to check on something; he wasn't gone a minute before he heard his brother yelling out in panic. Hurrying back inside, he saw that a piece of heavy equipment had fallen, and pinned the other child to the ground by his legs. The house had been a decent distance from the barn, so Chris began to panic. Turning to run back to get his parents, he tried willing himself to go faster...which is when his mutant powers suddenly kicked in, sending the youth tearing across the fields. Reaching the house quickly, he informed his father what had happened, then quickly made his way back to try and do what he could to help his brother.
To make a long story short, the situation wasn't quite as bad as it seemed...Bruce's legs were fractured, but was taken to the hospital, where he eventually recovered after a couple of months....but Christian's latent mutant abilities had finally reared their head.
Both his parents were amazed at what their son could do (his father had seen how fast he was running), and they kept it a secret from everyone else, not wanting their son to be unfairly persecuted.
Originally, Christian had been homeschooled for a couple of years, before his parents made the decision to send him to school in the USA. The New York area, to be more specific. They never quite explained why exactly, though Chris figured it was because they thought he had a better chance at a good education in America, for whatever reason. Either that, or they just wanted him to try something different than he was used to.
They had saved up money over the years, having started doing so early on when Chris was younger. So, on a plane he went, enough money with him to last for a couple years and to pay for his schooling... and it was off to JFK Airport in NYC, with really no clue as to what he was getting into, or what kind of people he would end up meeting. But it's as they say, variety is the spice of life, and perhaps Chris needed a bit.
